Robert Parker

Dr Robert Parker is a physicist, professor of astronomy, pilot and NASA astronaut. His first space flight was aboard the Space Shuttle STS-9 (1983), which carried the European Spacelab. For this mission, he was trained to perform a series of neuro-physiological experiments by a team of scientists lead by Dr Kass. He later flew on STS-35 (1990), also carrying the European Spacelab, and which featured the ASTRO-1 ultraviolet astronomy laboratory.
